Our Story

The story of Fellowship EPC began in 1979 when 30 members of the United Presbyterian Church in South Lyon felt called by God to plant a new church. Their purpose for the new church was simple. On September 28, 1980, at the first Congregational Meeting they wrote:

In the simplest and yet at the same time the most profound of terms, the reason for the existence of this church body is to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those around us through the power of the Holy Spirit.

With that heart for the Gospel of Jesus, God began to grow the church.  In the spring of 1980, under the name of "South Lyon Christian Fellowship", 65 people gathered on a Sunday as a church at Bartlett Elementary School.

By 1981 the church had called its first Pastor, Rev. Carlton Baker, and had joined our current denomination, the Evangelical Presbyterian Church

Today Fellowship Evangelical Presbyterian Church continues to be a growing, multi-generational, family friendly, community of Christians, committed to sharing the Good News and making disciples of  Jesus Christ.
