A Day Of Prayer and Fasting- Saturday, November 5th

The Fellowship Prayer Team invites you to join us for a day of prayer and fasting on Saturday, November 5th from 9:00am-5:00pm at Fellowship in the Sanctuary.

When God's people fast and pray God listens, he provides, and he makes himself known. With all that is going in our country we believe we need to cling to God more than ever. Prayer and fasting is a biblical way to do this.

The Details:

Individual and Family Prayer Time

On Saturday November 5th the Fellowship sanctuary will be open from 9:00am-11:00am and from 12:00p-5:00pm for individuals and families to walk the prayer stations and pray for as long or as little as they would like.

There will be four prayer stations in the sanctuary. Each station is designed to lead you in a time of prayer for a particular theme. There will be  some scripture to read, prompts to pray and a prayer activity. Each activity is designed with adults and young kids in mind. Each station can be completed in just a few minuets or longer if you prefer. (Completing all the stations can be done in as little 10 minuets or can be stretch out to take much longer--it's completely up to you.)

Also since some people will be fasting that day, there will be a juice station set up at the kitchen next to the sanctuary. After you have finished praying whether you are fasting or not, you are welcome (especially if you have young kids) to have some juice.

Our goal is to make this a family friendly prayer time. Because Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them..." (Matthew 4:19)

Corporate Prayer Time

From 11:00am-12:00pm we'll gather together in the sanctuary for a time of  corporate prayer. Again children are welcome to pray with us. The time will be broken up with scripture readings and prayer. People are free to stand, sit, or walk around. They are also free to pray silently or prayer aloud.

* A special note to parents--Because we're not expecting everyone to sit still and be quiet, children won't be a distraction. They will be a blessings.

Whether you're able to come for the corporate prayer time or are able to come at a different time throughout the day, we invite all participants to fast on November 5th.

If it is your first time fasting we suggest skipping lunch and devoting that time to prayer.

If you have fasted before we invite you to fast from additional meals as the Lord leads you.

No matter the length of the fast, we encourage you and your family to devote time this day to prayer for our church, our community, and our country.
